Don't Call It A Comeback!!!!

As the song goes, "Don't call it a comeback, we've been here for years". And this is a very true statement. As everyone's scores didn't reflect anything to write home about (Best I did was a 214 and the worst a 141) we were still able to overcome about a 100-pin deficit every game. We did all this against the number 2 team in the land and our slow journey towards greatness and immortality will continue.

One thing about this league that I still don't like is the fierce handicap. Although we have been able to overcome it, the handicap is still a rather large problem. The idea is good, to allow all bowlers to be on equal footing, sounds great on paper but once put to the test out on the lanes it quickly looses all credibility. It gives certain teams an unfair advantage over others. Almost punishing any team that has averages over 140. If a 100 average bowler throws 2 strikes in a row, anyone from our team must throw about 4 to make up for that. I suppose the thought is that if an individual has an average so high then he should be able to throw that many strikes very easily. But I suppose until a better solution is found we must live with the current train of thought and practices.

Well folks, The NJP is surely making its wrath and fury felt upon the lanes as we near the midway point in the season. We just must hope that we can maintain this feverish pace and march to our rightful places at the top of the rankings.

This is ShrekZilla saying, I'm outtie 5000!!!!!! BIOTCCCHHHH!!!!!!!
